Molly Ivins

I am very sad tonight. A great journalist, patriot, and women has died. Molly Ivins, whose syndicated column I read regularly in The Chicago Tribune died today from cancer. Her columns sparked a lot of debate in letters section of The Chicago Tribune here in Chicago. Many people would write in complaining to the tribune asking them not to publish Ms. Ivins anymore. I would get so upset reading these letters, because, of course, it went against everything that this country is supposed to be about. And now this great women will write no more.

Wow

OK, I go for 6 months without making a posting and, now, I make multiple postings in one night. I am making an effort to post my comments here, instead of posting commments on other people's threads (I do that way too much).

I am almost done with a project that I have been working on for almost 7 months. We are hoping to go live tomorrow with 2 big sites, Guardian Report and Virtual Gumshoe and it is very exiciting.

But, my big news is that starting Monday, I will begin working for Harpo Studios as a web developer. Can wait!

Adrienne Shelly

The news of the death of Adrienne Shelly really bothered me last November. She is a very charming actor who had a special place in my heart. Back in my New York days, when I was an actor (among many other things that I did in NYC), I was a huge fan of Hal Hartley movies and, thus, his muse Adrienne Shelly.

It is very bittersweet to see that she now has a movie at Sundance that she wrote, directed and stars in. I can express the feelings I have about all of this.

Congress

The new Congress has done more work and more good in the few weeks that they have been in office than the last three Congress' have done combined (2001-2007).
